Group Education

Group education is an important part of the Illawarra Early Parenting Centre Program and we encourage participation of both parents in group educations sessions.

These sessions provide an opportunity to move towards achievement of the goals identified in your individual Early Parenting Plan, while also allowing for parents to share common experiences in a supportive and understanding environment.

The groups are run by highly-trained professional staff and cover a variety of topics including:

• Sleep and settling techniques
• Feeding and nutrition
• Establishing routines in feed, play and sleep
• Emotional bonding and attachment
• Adjusting to transitions
• Self-care and supports
