Physiotherapy Team Leader
Brad joins the team at Figtree Private Hosptial having graduated from the University of Sydney in 2010. After graduating, Brad commenced work at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, prior to transitioning to Lawrence Hargrave Private Hospital, where he worked closely with patients across a broad range of complex presentations.
Brad has undertaken extensive and ongoing post graduate training in areas of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and neurological physiotheraphy. He has a keen interest in post-surgical orthopaedic rehabilitation and gerontology. He utlises his background in pyschology and strong knowledge base to accurately diagnose and hollistically treat his patients.
He has a strong belief in evidence based clinical practice and enjoys working in partnership with his patients as they regain full function and health.
Occupational Therapy Team Leader
Tracy Smith graduated as and Occupational Therapist from Sydney University in 1993. She has worked in Rehabilitation at Lawrence Hargrave Private Hospital for the past 22 years. She was also seconded to Bowral Private Hospital for a short period of time to establish the Occupational Theraphy services when the hospital first opened.
Tracy has an extensive knowledge and background in the areas of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Have worked in a private inpatient setting for years, her clinical skills will ensure best practice and outcomes for the wide variety of diagnostic groups that benefit from rehabilitation. She understands the importance of patient centred goal setting and incorporates this into her daily therapy interventions. Clinically, she has a keen interest in stroke recovery and has pursued ongoing educational opportunties in this area. She has extensive knowledge of many community based services, necessary for ensuring a positive and successful discharge from hospital.
Nurse Unit Manager
With extensive experience and post graduate qualifications in rehabilitation nursing, Tracey is responsible for leading Figtree Private Hospital’s nursing staff.
In her previous nursing roles, Tracey has provided day-to-day planning and care for patients with spinal injuries, trauma (MVA), CVA, orthopaedic, amputees, peritoneal dialysis, post surgery, wound care, medical deconditioning, MS, Parkinson’s and chronic pain (Ketamine). She has been responsible for the coordination of daily therapy and support groups for day patients.
Tracey leads an expereinced team of RNs and ENs, bringing together a wealth of nursing knowledge from several streams.
