Credentialing process

If you would like to apply as a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO), please feel free to contact the Executive Office of Figtree Private Hospital on (02) 4255 5017

If a doctor is Accredited at another Ramsay facility and all paperwork is in order please advise the office and arrangements can be made to share the information.

Otherwise:

Accreditation paperwork (with current referees) should be completed and faxed to (02) 4255 5064

Together with:

• Copy of current medical registration.
• Copy of current medical indemnity insurance showing relevant specialty covered and expiry date.
• Copy of Curriculum Vitae.
• Written references will be requested from the referees.
• Completed paperwork will be reviewed by the CEO of Figtree Private Hospital together with the Specialty Medical Advisory Committee Representative.
• At this point temporary accreditation can be granted for a short period of time.
• Application referred to the Medical Advisory Credentialing Committee Meeting (held quarterly)
• Names referred to the Ramsay Board for ratification
• A letter confirming Accreditation at Figtree Private Hospital will be forwarded to the VMO
