Booking information

On behalf of all our staff, we extend a warm welcome and thank you for considering Figtree Private Hospital. Your care and comfort are our primary concern and we are pleased to provide important information on the services available.

How to Book

As soon as your pregnancy has been confirmed and you have booked with an obstetrician, please either complete the on-line maternity booking registration or alternatively if you would like to discuss relevant issues regarding your admission and midwifery care, please contact us on 4255 5070 during office hours for an appointment with a midwife. If you choose the on-line maternity booking registration you will receive an automatic email reply to confirm that your on-line registration has been received.

Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of your patient admission forms (given to you by your obstetrician). This form is required no later than 20 weeks of pregnancy. This form may be returned to the Nareena Ward at Figtree Private Hospital (PO Box 14, Figtree NSW 2525).

If you require Antenatal Classes please call Nareena Ward on 4255 5070 to make a booking.

On receipt of your completed paperwork you will receive a comprehensive information pack regarding your stay at Figtree Private Hospital.

Once you have completed all the booking requirements, should any details change, please notify us immediately.

Private Health Insurance

Figtree Private Hospital has negotiated agreements with all major health funds to ensure the relevant hospital charges are paid on your behalf. An excess or co-payment may form part of your contract with your health fund. You will receive details regarding the payment required following confirmation of your booking. This payment is required prior to your admission.

If you are not privately insured, you will be asked to pay the estimated cost of hospitalisation prior to admission. It is therefore necessary to contact our Booking Officer on 4255 5053 for an estimate of fees and charges prior to your hospital admission. Payment may be made by cash, cheque or credit card.

Costs for obstetric, anaesthetic and paediatric services are contracted between yourself and the practitioner. Please discuss with the individual specialists the costs that may be incurred.

Special Care Nursery

Figtree Private Hospital provides you with the reassurance that should your baby require special care nursery support, a specially equipped Special Care Nursery is available. Please contact your health fund provider to confirm your level of cover for your baby if the Special Care Nursery is required during your admission.
